Kinder and Kids chooses its partners with care. We set requirements for working conditions, environmental responsibility, and product safety — and we verify them. Every toy is made under conditions you can stand behind.
What is BSCI, and why does it matter?
BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) is a European initiative under amfori that helps companies improve working conditions in their global supply chains. It is based on international standards such as ILO conventions, the UN Declaration of Human Rights, and OECD guidelines.
A BSCI audit is conducted by independent, accredited audit firms. They visit factories, interview workers, and review documentation to ensure that working conditions meet the BSCI Code of Conduct.

Our 6 requirements for partners
These six principles are non-negotiable. All Kinder and Kids partners must live up to them — and we verify this on an ongoing basis.
BSCI Audit
All our production partners are subject to BSCI audits (Business Social Compliance Initiative). BSCI is a recognised European initiative ensuring responsible working conditions throughout the supply chain.
Ongoing Monitoring
We don't stop at the first audit. Our partners undergo regular follow-up audits, and we act swiftly if deviations are found. Transparency is not a goal — it is an ongoing commitment.
Workers' Rights
We require all partners to respect ILO core labour standards: no child labour, no forced labour, fair wages, reasonable working hours, and the right to organise.
Environmental Responsibility
Our partners must comply with local environmental regulations and actively work to reduce waste, energy consumption, and chemical emissions. We prefer partners with certified environmental management systems.
Product Safety in Production
Safety starts on the factory floor. We require all production partners to follow our strict quality protocols and allow unannounced inspections of production facilities and processes.
Factory Conditions
We regularly visit our production facilities to ensure the working environment is safe, clean, and dignified. Good factory conditions are not just ethically right — they directly reflect in product quality.
How we select our partners
Selecting a new production partner is a thorough process. We conduct an initial due diligence screening, followed by factory visits and documentation review — before we enter into any agreement.
Zero Tolerance
Kinder and Kids has zero tolerance for child labour, forced labour, and serious violations of workers' rights. If we discover such conditions at a partner, the collaboration is terminated immediately, regardless of the consequences for the supply chain.
Transparency & traceability
We believe consumers have the right to know how their toys are made. That is why we actively work to increase transparency in our supply chain and make it easier to trace each product from raw material to finished toy.
